This blog describes my adventures in Africa. In 2018, this will be my 4th trip to Africa. I traveled to Rwanda in March 2016, and Kenya and Tanzania in the Spring, 2015, and Kenya in 2010. On our journey, we'll be visiting schools, centers for people with disabilities, making friends, looking for animals and finding adventure wherever we go. Wahoo!!!!

Strange Diseases

Africa has many diseases that we don't see in America and here are a couple of them.  The first one is...
MALARIA!!!


Where we are going there is a disease called malaria! And I will tell you what it does.

Every 30 seconds someone DIES.

so like this 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,DIE!!


Malaria is caused by an infected mosquito that bites you.  



Isn't it creepy?!







EBOLA!!!!!

If you have Ebola, here are the signs and symptoms:

At first, Malaria and Ebola have the same signs and symptoms, but then Ebola gets worse.
More than 9,300 people in Africa have died from Ebola since March!!!!!  Where we are going, thankfully there is no Ebola.

My mom and I are going to take medication called Malarone every day so we won't get Malaria.
