ABOUT

This blog describes my adventures in Africa. In 2018, this will be my 4th trip to Africa. I traveled to Rwanda in March 2016, and Kenya and Tanzania in the Spring, 2015, and Kenya in 2010. On our journey, we'll be visiting schools, centers for people with disabilities, making friends, looking for animals and finding adventure wherever we go. Wahoo!!!!

TRAVEL!!!!!!!!

Hello - this is Finn here. Today I want to talk about travel!!!!.   It will take 5 planes to get from here to there.  Yesterday I flew 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Today I have 4 more flights, and this is how long it will take: (flight 1)  2 hrs and 23 minutes; (flight 2) 2 hours 10 minutes; (flight 3) 8hours; ( flight 4) 7 hours 40 minutes.  How many minutes?  Can you add it up?
Here we are at the beginning....

Here we are in the middle.....

Here we are at the end... We made it!!!
Did you know that at 37,000 feet above sea level (where our plane was flying) that it is -80 F?  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Here's a view

We made it and now we are going to sleep!
Answer: 1,293 minutes

  1. What a fun reason to do math! The clouds look amazing from above. We think you're flying over what we called a "mackerel sky", which to sailors means that the weather will be "a little bit wet, a little bit dry". Sailors like to rhyme, because it makes things easier to remember. Maybe lots , of people like to rhyme for the same reason.
