Today I slept in A LOT. In fact, my mom went down to breakfast so I had to call her on the radio. Breakfast was GOOD. So... today I went to a place called The Action Foundation (TAF). TAF is a place for children with disabilities. We met a boy named Evan who had a condition called Cerebral Palsy (CP). If you have CP your muscles don't work properly and your arms and legs are sort of stuck in a way that makes it hard to walk or pick up stuff.......................................see
(I bet thats why he was playing legos and had crutches)
This is Evan. (non sequitur here)
Here we are in Kibera - the largest slum in Africa (maybe the world).
Here are people we met from Akili Dada - this is my mom's favorite organization. You can learn about them here.
Done for the day so I can finish my banana cream pie.
You will be reading this at midnight here.
Were you and your family in Kibera when you visited Kenya before? We remember a picture of you all dancing happily in a really big group of people.
ReplyDeleteAkili Dada looks like a great organization - no wonder it's your mom's favorite.
Hope that pie was good!
Love, Grandpa and Grandma
Finnn!
ReplyDeleteBanana cream pie? Mmmmmm. You are one lucky kid. Your heart must be growing in leaps and bounds.
