ABOUT

This blog describes my adventures in Africa. In 2018, this will be my 4th trip to Africa. I traveled to Rwanda in March 2016, and Kenya and Tanzania in the Spring, 2015, and Kenya in 2010. On our journey, we'll be visiting schools, centers for people with disabilities, making friends, looking for animals and finding adventure wherever we go. Wahoo!!!!

Travels

Hi. Getting to Africa takes a very long time. After driving to Jackson, then flying to Denver and San Francisco, we missed our flight!!! That may sound horrible, but it wasn't, because we got to spend the night at my Grandma's!!
Yahoo!! The next day, after playing with my Uncle and Cousin, at 2:45pm, we boarded the plane to Amsterdam. When we got to Amsterdam, my mom and I were EXHAUSTED!! It was 1am, but in Amsterdam it was 10am!!! So we found our hotel and passed out for 4 hours.

We woke up, had a workout, went swimming and then ate dinner. We took a train to Amsterdam Centraal. When we got there, my mom said we should go outside and when we got outside, it was FREEZING, but then we found a canal tour boat that was heated!!!!
Did you know that the city of Amsterdam is filled with waterways called canals?  People either ride their bikes or take a canal boat to get somewhere.  Our tour guide said that the canals are filled with 1 Meter of mud, 1 Meter of bikes, and 1 Meter of water!  Isn't that funny?  After the tour, we ran back to the Centraal station and then we took a train back to the Schiphol airport and our hotel (which was almost in the airport, and really cool because the bathroom had a joystick for a faucet and I was allowed to use the treadmill).

The train station is that long building in the background.

Amsterdam has over 1,000 bridges, can you see them?

We slept for another 8 hours and now we're on a plane to Kigali. By the time you read this, we will be in Africa!!!! You'll be in school, and I'll be heading for bed. Did you know that Kigali, Rwanda time is 9 hours ahead of Wyoming? Isn't that cool. ;) :)

Murabeho.
