ABOUT

This blog describes my adventures in Africa. In 2018, this will be my 4th trip to Africa. I traveled to Rwanda in March 2016, and Kenya and Tanzania in the Spring, 2015, and Kenya in 2010. On our journey, we'll be visiting schools, centers for people with disabilities, making friends, looking for animals and finding adventure wherever we go. Wahoo!!!!

Masaai Warriors are cool

April 12

Masaai  Warriors are fierce and jump up to one meter high. See:

Tomorrow is our last day in Africa.
Yesterday we went to a high water fall.

Yikes!!!
But here is some information about Masaai Warior.

They can jump high.

They can play the didredu well.

They can sing very well.

They put thorns around their camp so that animals don't get in.

They wear parts of tires for their shoes

They have Masaai knives (which are very sharp).  We saw a beautiful full rainbow.

Here is why they wear tires for shoes...

Masassi steal cattle, they wear tires so that the people they steal it from cant tell                                    which way they went. Thats awesome!!!

  1. Oh, Finn! This is probably your last post, right? I'm happy to have you back, but sort of sad that the adventure is over. We have really been enjoying your experience with you.

  2. Wow! We have lots of questions about the Masai! Is that horn they play like the one you had at your house? They are warriors, so who do they fight? Why do they steal someone else's cattle instead of raising their own? If the wear footwear especially for stealing, why don't they call themselves the Masai Thieves?
We're very glad you and your Mom are back home after such a great adventure!
    Love, Grandpa and Grandma
